The Science
Dermal filler products are made from Hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a substance that naturally exists in our body, which means our body will not reject the product.
HA is made of different viscosities, particle size, elasticity, cohesivity and flexibility to create a variety of fillers that can be used in various tissues. There are certain areas of the face that require a thick material (i.e. cheeks) and other areas that require a thin material (i.e. lips).

What are the risks?
The most serious risk is injection into blood vessels. With proper precautions and the appropriate injector, the treatment will have minimal risks. Do your due diligence when choosing your injector. We are happy to answer any of your questions. Dermal fillers help close these gaps by providing volume where it’s lost and restoring a natural look to the face. Prior to any procedure, we perform an assessment and consult with you regarding the proper treatment.
After the procedure you may experience swelling, bruising or redness over and around the injection site – which will improve in a few days.
Risks should be discussed with your provider prior to the procedure.
